Salamanca is an ancient Celtic city located in the northwest of Spain, and is part of the community of Castile and León. It's Old City was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1988. Surprisingly, Salamanca is not touristy, and although easy to access, it's far enough away from the capital to put day trippers off. However, it is one of the most important university cities in Spain, having the oldest University in the country, that was originally founded in 1134. Salamanca attracts thousands of international students, and as a result has a multicultural environment. Salamanca is a very safe city, where the Spanish language is accent-free meaning it's much easier to understand for beginner students.
This Spanish language school in Salamanca is located in a beautiful part of the city, in Plaza de los Basilios square. With tall trees and bordered by the stunning San Esteban Convent, during breaks you can take a walk to the local shops or just sit and enjoy the views.
The course consists of 4 lessons per day, each lasting 50 minutes. The focus is on Spanish grammar, vocabulary, listening and speaking. Each students performance is carefully monitored in order for students to be pushed further with their Spanish. The classes are small, giving a more intimate study environment, with an average number of 5 to 7 students per class.
