Lacunza International House is a Spanish language school in San Sebastián founded in 1956. This Spanish school is located in the cultural heart of the city, next to the ‘Tabakalera’ and the ‘Cristina Enea’ park. All the school teachers are highly qualified and specialized in teaching Spanish as a foreign language. There are 2 teachers per class supported by the Teacher Trainer and Director of Studies.
Lacunza IH has modern and purpose-built facilities ensure a comfortable studying environment with a spacious open-air terrace with snacks, coffee and drink machines, large reception with sofas and notice boards, social area, a library and 18 classrooms with ozone friendly, reverse cycle air-conditioning and HIFI sound system.

This Spanish city is well connected to Madrid and Barcelona as well as to other European capitals. San Sebastian is one of the most popular Spanish tourist destinations due to the beaches, tradition, gastronomy and special events. It’s is considered the gastronomic capital of Europe for its ‘pintxos’, having more Michelin stars per square meter than anywhere else in the world, and it was voted “world’s best destination for food” in 2018.
Lacunza International House is located next to one of the largest parks in San Sebastian. The school is a 5min walk to the city center and 10min walk to the surf beach.

Course Introduction
The General Spanish Course has 20 lessons per week of 45 mins each. The classes have a maximum of 12 students providing personalized teacher attention with a close relationship between teachers and students.
Lacunza has a methodology based on the International House one that helps the students to speak Spanish in the classroom. The school teachers encourage participation and communication which leads to a good progress rate.

The total costs include Spanish lessons, assessment and monitoring of your level of Spanish, all class materials (except for beginners, they need to buy a book for €18 their first day of school), a welcome pack with handy things like a notepad, a pen, a city map, a folder and a bag, free additional tutoring every Tuesday between 15.00 and 16.00 and a social activities program and a certificate with your level of Spanish when you leave (80% of attendance is required)
