Universidad Autónoma de Madrid is another of Spain’s highest ranking universities and the final in our list of universities of Madrid. In the 2021 Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) University Rankings it was rated as the second best university in Spain, just behind the University of Barcelona.
Founded in 1968, Universidad Autónoma de Madrid is a much younger university than the University of Barcelona. When compared to other ‘young’ universities, Universidad Autónoma de Madrid is consistently the highest ranked in Spain and one of the highest ranked in Europe.
Universidad Autónoma de Madrid is located just outside of Madrid in rural surroundings but with a quick and easy connection to Madrid’s city centre by car, bus or train.
