Feel free to bookmark this page to learn business Spanish phrases any time you need.

1. Gracias por su compra

Starting out, we want to provide a fairly easy phrase to add to your lexicon: gracias por su compra or “thank you for your purchase!”

This is an easy phrase to use for any client (cliente)or customer you’re working with directly in any industry that deals with direct purchases.

A phrase like this might’ve been preceded by something like ¿Cómo le puedo ayudar? or “how can I help you?”

Easy enough to thank your client and wave them off with ¡Que tenga un buen día! or “Have a nice day!”

2. ¿Quieres que te diga el precio?

If you’ve got a customer who hesitates on making a purchase, something like quieres que te diga el precio can be a helpful phrase to utilize.

It simply means “do you want me to tell you the price?”

3. Por favor, firme aquí

For big purchases like a car, a house, or for a day out tapas-ing, you may be asked to por favor, firme aquí or “please, sign here.”

This phrase is utilized when signing documents.

Think of it as a polite or formal signature request.

4. ¿Cuándo firmamos el contrato?

For something maybe a little less customer service based, but still essential business Spanish, this phrase is a common one to use.

It translates to “When do we sign the contract?”

If there are still wrinkles to iron out regarding a contract, a manager may say something like Tenemos que convocar una reunion or “We have to call a meeting.”

5. Bienvenidos a todos

Speaking of calling a meeting, a common phrase you might hear during meetings is Bienvenidos a todos or “Welcome to everyone.”

This is a common Spanish phrase often used during a team or group meeting.

It might be followed up by something like Hoy día en la agenda… or “Today on the agenda…”

For anyone who might not have the right meeting information, a quick email greeting such as ¿Podrías reenviarme este correo? could help!

It simply means “Could you forward me this email?”

You may also want to speak up during a group meeting.

To do so, respectful interruptions could be disculpe or perdón. Both words essentially mean “excuse me” or “sorry”—both are easy words to use to respectfully interrupt during a meeting.
