This is the twenty-seventh lesson in our beginner level Spanish course and we will look at the Spanish Verb Ir To Go.<\/strong><\/h3>\n

We will learn some brand new vocabulary related to transport and practice using it with the Spanish Verb Ir To Go<\/strong>. Ir<\/em> is a very commonly used Spanish verb and therefore an important one to practice early on in your studies.<\/p>\n

Other fundamental Spanish verbs we have seen earlier in this course include Ser (To be)<\/a>, Estar (To be)<\/a>, Tener (To have)<\/a>, and Querer (To want)<\/a>. We have also learned how to conjugate (change the ending) of all Regular Spanish verbs in Present Tense<\/a>. Ir (To go) does not follow the same pattern as the regular verbs. It is an irregular Spanish verb like Ser, Estar, Tener, and Querer.<\/p>\n

How to conjugate the Spanish Verb Ir To Go<\/strong> for all persons in present tense:<\/h3>\n

(Yo) Voy: I go
\n(T\u00fa) Vas: You go
\n(\u00c9l\/Ella) Va: He\/She goes
\n(Nosotros\/as) Vamos: We go
\n(Vosotros\/as) Vais: You go
\n(Ellos\/as) Van: They go<\/p>\n

Let’s see now some example sentences using Ir (To go):<\/h3>\n

The Spanish preposition A<\/em> (To<\/em>) is often used with Ir (To go) . In the following example sentences you will see it being used with Ir (To go) and D\u00f3nde (Where).<\/p>\n

\u00bfAd\u00f3nde vas normalmente de vacaciones?: Where do you usually go on holiday?
\nNormalmente voy a Almer\u00eda: I usually go to Almeria
